Annoucing his follow-up to the 2016 indie-hit Paterson, director Jim Jarmusch is heading back to the realm of the undead for The Dead Don’t Die. Set to be an all-star zombie comedy, the unique filmmaker is teaming up with a set of previous collaborators and some rather famous newbies. Featuring Adam Driver, Bill Murray, Chloë Sevigny, Tilda Swinton, Steve Buscemi, Selena Gomez and Austin Butler, it’s set to be a big hit already.
Apparently filming already, it’s set to debut next year in 2019, and is written as well as directed by Jim Jarmusch. Spotted in police uniforms, it seems Murray, Sevigny and Driver are cops, but little else is known about the plot of the project. Explaining about his role back in March, Murray (who has been an almost-zombie before for
Zombieland as pictured above) told
Philly.com “I’ve got a good job coming up. Brace yourself: It’s a zombie movie…Jim Jarmusch has written a zombie script that’s so hilarious and it has a cast of great actors … it shoots over the summer. But no, I will not play a zombie.” Whatever it’s going to be, we can’t wait. Stay tuned for more soon.
