I ran a poll in my Sowell Quotes messenger channel yesterday. About 1400 people voted in it. I asked them: Have you ever lost a friend or family member over politics? The results threw me back a little… 74% of them said they had lost somebody. Either a friend or family member or both. And of the ones who said No, nearly half said “but it’s strained”. So, the overwhelming majority of us have felt the cost of politics, personally. To that minority of you who haven’t… you should feel blessed. Maybe you have something to teach the rest of us. The midterms are going to bring a lot of these tensions to the forefront. The stakes are high, everyone can feel it… Some of these fights are worth having… not many of them are worth losing a brother over. stay close, ~ Clay p.s.
