The modern “Arab World” is often presented as though the entire region has always been uniformly Arab. That is simply not how history works. Long before the modern concept of an Arab world emerged, North Africa and the Middle East were home to Amazigh, Egyptians, Nubians, Assyrians, Arameans, Kurds, Copts, Phoenicians, and countless other peoples, each with their own languages, cultures, kingdoms, and identities.📜

The spread of Arab identity and the Arabic language was a centuries-long process shaped by the early Islamic conquests, the Islamic invaders erased the unique languages, cultures & religious identities present in the Middle East at that time.⚔️

Later, European imperial powers drew borders, reorganized territories, categorized populations, and imposed their own political frameworks on the region.

So no, history is not as simple as “these people have always been Arab.” Modern ethnic and national identities are products of history, and history is messy.⏳🌍

Ironically Arabs often accuse Europeans to be "colonizers" while in reality Islamic/Arab colonization has done the greatest damage more than any other invading force. 🕋 🕌
