Artists celebrate Taylor Swift in Liverpool’s Taylor Town
Art path around the city features 11 art installations representing the singer's albums
Taylor Swift mania is due to hit the UK very soon and Swifties up and down the nation can Shake It Off—and see some Taylor-inspired art. The Eras Tour will roll into Liverpool from 13 to 15 June, marking a citywide celebration known as Taylor Town. As part of the festivities, Liverpool’s canny culture team and the social enterprise Make CIC will launch the Taylor Trail, an art path around the city comprising 11 art installations representing all of Taylor Swift’s albums. According to the BBC, the different pieces will include a mural celebrating the singer's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, located atLiverpool's College Lane, by Catherine Rogers. Meanwhile Rachel Smith-Evans has created a piano inspired by the Evermore album which fans can find in the Bluecoat Gardens.The Eras tour will provide a £997m boost to the UK economy according to a recent Barclays Swiftonomics report.
