Raw, ingenious and always lively, zines are a great platform to learn more about emerging talents today. The internet is bursting at the seams with zines, from feminist reads to insightful accounts from individuals, there’s just so much talent out there. We have hand picked a few which really stand out, from two 16-year-old best friends to a high profile ‘fashion blogger’, these zines give a fun and interesting angle to today’s leading creatives.

Girlfiend

For the girls that go hard, this is a zine with incredible artwork, styling. The overall product is so sleek, it brings together catwalk and street style, reviewing new music, and styling shoots; it’s an explosion of fashion and colour.

The anti-fashion blogger, Erika Bowes, is using her platform for something good. Rather than brag about all the freebies and perks of being a ‘fashion blogger’ she dishes out life advice to people everywhere. From starting university to dealing with breakups and styling your wardrobe, she’s got it all covered.

Flaunting diversity and home-grown talent, with a pristine colour coordinated Instagram to match Sister magazine is dripping in girl power. Promoting the bad girl attitude, with diverse articles and stylish shoots, this zine is opening new doors of ideas.
