...this Sunday, final round of the tractor (not redneck) tournament on the P.G.A. tour:
The first 3 rounds were boring with boring players and lots of lay-up shots, so was round 4 with the TV following the last (best results) groups.
But, outside the attention of all (or most) Chris Gotterup had a great final round with 62 shots putting him as the leader at the clubhouse with -20 (twenty under par).
Then comes waiting... at the driving range and also the bar if it's a longer wait.
In this tournament Gotterup could not count with his usual caddie and had his kid brother Patrick carrying the bag. So this was a special and relaxed atmosphere.
We can see by his profile (physical not social media) that Chris likes to eat and the first images were of the brothers with their hands full having a snack while walking round the bar.
Later, we are at driving range and we see Chris carrying two plastic chairs towards the spot where he is practicing with his brother... he looks driven (maybe even a little cross) and in the background we notice someone from the staff or management of the tournament driving a buggy and looking menacing towards Gotterup!
This took a few seconds and the Eurosport 2 commentator didn't make much of it... but then she never does and follows the woke agenda of searching for the special tears of the winner later on.

Enter the woke etiquette at PGA TOUR golf:
- emotion and fake tears are mandatory for the winner with his family around
- a slight gesture of the body when missing a putt but nothing too extravagant
- a slight gesture of the body when making a long putt but nothing too extravagant
- dress code: all the same... Jason Day and Tommy Fleetwood innovated for one or two tournaments at most and were commanded to conform
- crowds may shout U-S-A, U-S-A against non-US players; some like Hideki Matsuyama had to stop a swing when he was leading two holes from the finish... and it never was the same, but a scot like Robert MacIntyre answers back and he is punished
- and apparently players are not allowed to take chairs to the driving range even when waiting for a long time and being the leader at the clubhouse.
PGA's management has been arrogant for some time... "we pay very well so you players are little choir boys at our command"... and this led to the biggest crisis in golf with the creation of the alternative tour LIV GOLF, where a lot of the top players moved.
There were recent changes in PGA's management and this might indicate a more civilized approach to the game but...

... back to last sunday, with the Gotterup brothers at the driving range, the TV camera closer to Patrick that was sitting and then the broadcast went back to the last group. Ben Kohles was the best placed with -20 (just like Chris) but then, on the last hole, he shot his ball into the water!
Back to the driving range and we see that Patrick is smiling while saying something to Chris...
And suddenly, out of nowhere, we hear the cameraman - or someone beside him - questioning Patrick:
- "Are you joking?!"
Remember: there is never a voice on location in these broadcasts of the driving range, it's up to the commentators to do it from the distance. So this was a treacherous intrusion into the brothers moment! And in a fascist attitude this person wanted to suggest that Patrick was rejoicing at Kohles bad luck giving his brother more chances to win.
Then the camera was shut off and the broadcast went back to hole 18... Kohles had the drop with penalty and then manufactured another free drop and suddenly he was almost on the green via these technicalities! But he missed the long putt to force Gotterup to a playoff (in fact he also missed the next short putt and finished 3rd).

So we are faced with the PGA at its worst again: suggesting Patrick should be a hypocrite and act very sorry for Ben Kohles or hide every single expression he might have in that moment with his brother... remember he is not a professional caddie, he was just helping out Chris for this tournament.

Later there was a return of the broadcast to the driving range for a strange exchange of words between the mysterious voice and Chris just as if to justify the previous intrusion of that voice...
But for those really watching the damage had already been done.

The closing ceremony went like expected with the winner shedding his load of tears.
