We already posted photos from “Proposition A,” the first part of Ralph Rugoff’s 2019 Venice Biennale, sited at the city’s Arsenale space. “Proposition B” is the title of the contrasting section of the show featured in the Biennale Pavilion over in the Giardini.
There, the same artists from the Arsenale repeat, with a slightly different emphasis. Sometimes “Proposition B” actually spotlights a different side of an artist’s practice, sometimes it offers a work that complements or completes a project in the other section, sometimes it just offers more of the same but in a new environment.
